The organs I have played…

Peter Godden writes…”This is of 2 Viscount organs, a Jubilate 332 and a Compact, in my former flat in Scarborough. I’d had the Jubilate for about 12 years, and enjoyed it greatly. But I knew that it was going to be too wide to get through the front door of the flat I was buying in Kings Lynn. I needed a more slimline model, and the most slimline I could find was the Compact. I sold the Jubilate on EBay, but the buyer couldn’t collect until he was back from holiday. Fine, I thought, and I’ll buy the Compact after I’ve moved and am sorted. And then one of the Viscount dealers had a cut price ex-demonstration model. “Would you like it Thursday or Saturday?” he said. So for a month I had 2 Viscount organs side by side in a tiny flat. I could only play one at a time.”
