This is cambridgeorganists.org Designed and produced by Stephen Taylor for the Cambridge & District Organists’ Association
Back in the early sixties, webmaster attended a recital by the late Francis Jackson on the rebuild by Arnold, Williamson & Hyatt organ in Attleborough parish church. It was there that webmaster first beheld a drawstop entitled “Prepared For”.
This was to be a reed rank available at 16,8 and 4 feet.
The 1997 survey for the NPOR still shows “prepared for”.
This page may eventually be transformed into something interesting. Just give me time. Meanwhile, here is an illustration of my lockdown project, a player organ run by MIDI files on an SD card. Originally 2 octaves, designed to play clock music at 8’ rather than 4’ pitch, it got expanded to three octaves and now plays a wide variety of styles of music.
