Back in the early sixties, webmaster attended a recital by the late Francis Jackson on the rebuild by Arnold, Williamson & Hyatt organ in Attleborough parish church. It was there that webmaster first beheld a drawstop entitled “Prepared For”.
This was to be a reed rank available at 16,8 and 4 feet.
The 1997 survey for the NPOR still shows “prepared for”.

Wooden trombones at 16’ are cheaper to make as the cost of timber is considerably less than that of pipe metal, but you get what you pay for; a rather blown raspberry sound.
